My annual reading program consists of reading between 20-25 books. This program does not include the number of articles and other materials I read in order to stay mentally fit and spiritually alive by the power of the printed word.
Over four decades, I have reading advice: Do not read only in your field or career. Read books from a variety of genre. I suggest adding autobiographies, biographies, history, fiction, and philosophy. These round out our thinking and may open moments of creativity in our current fields of work or in our career.
Below is a list of books on leadership. While there are many more I have read, I trust these titles will challenge you to think about leadership and life as well. If you want to view what I am currently reading and what I recommend, go to my LinkedIn Profile. I provide critiques and recommendations there regularly.
